The official welcoming group of the Spencer Chamber of Commerce. Thirty Men and Women from the Spencer Business Community make up the Spencer Ambassadors in those famous red plaid coats. Each week this group call on new businesses to the area as well as welcome new staff members, building relocations and official ribbon cuttings.

Members of the Spencer Chamber of Commerce are invited and encouraged to attend the Chamber sponsored
Business Before and Business After Hours social networking events each month.
The Business Before Hours are typically on the first Wednesday of each month from 7:30 - 8:30am with
Business After Hours held on the third Tuesday of the month from 5 - 7pm.
Each event is hosted by a members business or organization of the Spencer Chamber of Commerce and is FREE for any Chamber member, their staff and employees to attend.

The Spencer Chamber of Commerce and Spencer U.S.A., the Young Professionals of the Spencer Chamber, invite you to "The Chill," a community social gathering taking place during the summer months.
On select Friday (and one Saturday) nights throughout the summer, the public is invited to join other members of the community to enjoy music, food and refreshments. There is no charge for admission.

Chamber Bowling Outing
A mid-winter break away from the office along with a great networking opportunity. 16 teams of 5 bowlers rolling three games to see who will hold bragging rights for the coming year. The annual outing is held in February at Liberty Lanes in the lower level of Gateway North in Spencer.
Eggs & Issues Legislative Forums
During the Iowa Legislative season, the Spencer Chamber hosts four sessions with state representatives serving our area. This well attended event attracts constituents from around the region with concerns about legislation before our state leaders. The sessions are normally held in January, February and March on Saturday mornings and is open to the public.
All forums are held from 9 - 10:30am in the Council Chamber of Spencer City Hall. A light breakfast is served from our sponsors beginning at 8:30am when the doors open.
Invited to attend are our local house and senate representatives along with state and national government elected officials.
Northwest Iowa Ag Outlook
A day-long seminar and trade show held each February. Ag Outlook is geared towards farmers and agri-business professionals to give them the knowledge they need to compete in global agriculture. The trade show features the latest in agriculture products, equipment and services. This event is free and attracts nearly 2,000 each year.

Clay County Ag Breakfast
The Chamber Ag Committee and its sponsoring organizations and commodity groups hold a FREE breakfast during Ag Week in March of each year. Made to order omelets are a popular feature of this event as a way of saying thanks to the community for the support of agriculture in our region.
Sponsored each year by: Clay County Growers, Clay County Cattlemen and Pork Producers, Clay County Farm Bureau, Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative, Western Iowa Dairy and the Spencer Chamber of Commerce.
Each year during the spring residents new to the community and those interested in learning more about the area embark on a 10-week course to give them a better understanding of the workings of the City of Spencer. In addition, members of the class are challenged to a group or individual class project with a goal of bettering the community.
The 2019 Session of Leadership Spencer will commence on Monday, March 4th and conclude on Monday, May 6th.
Junior Leadership Spencer
Evolving from the popular Leadership Spencer program, the Spencer Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Iowa Lakes Community College introduced 'Junior Leadership Spencer" in the fall of 2015.
This course is offered to all incoming High School Juniors.

The brain child of Spencer business people in 1984, Flagfest is a patriotic event celebrating our country, our flag and our heritage. The second weekend of June is set aside for fun and family with food, children’s amusements, street dance, grand cruise, the famous parade and much, much more. Each year the committee strives to keep the weekend a fun and FREE event for the entire family.
There is no charge to enter a unit in the Flagfest Parade - Simply fill out the registration form below and return it to the Chamber Office.

Spencer Chamber Golf Fundraiser
The Spencer Chamber of Commerce Golf Fundraiser has been held for 37 years and is a great way for our members to get away from the office for an afternoon and enjoy a round of golf at both of our city courses.
Each year the golf outing alternates between the Spencer Municipal Golf Course and the Spencer Golf and Country Club.
Join us on June 22, 2018 as the Chamber Golf Fundraiser will take place at the Spencer Golf and Country Club with a shotgun start at 1:15 pm. Burger Bar Lunch at 12 pm (included in registration).

Spencer Chamber Annual Celebration
Each October, the Board and Staff of the Spencer Chamber of Commerce updates the membership on the accomplishments of the Chamber over the past 12 months and our goals and vision for the upcoming year.
In addition, the presentation of the Jack Wedel Volunteer Service Award and the Business of the Year is held.
The 2018 Spencer Chamber of Commerce Annual Celebration will be Thursday, October 25 from 11:30 am to 1 pm at the Clay County Regional Events Center. More details will be announced in the summer of 2018.
Nominations for the Jack Wedel Volunteer Service Award and the Chamber Small Business of the Year can be submitted at any time prior to October 19, 2018.
Women of Vision
The Spencer Chamber Women of Vision program was developed to highlight the talents and women professionals in our community. The luncheons, held quarterly, allow participants to share their experiences and demonstrate how they've achieved success as well as what talents they bring to the Spencer area.
Everyone has a story and the Women of Vision program aims to showcase the individuals that make Spencer the Success City of Iowa!
