The Siouxland Artists Juried Art Show

This 2 in 1 gallery experience will contain a life in
review of Artist Patricia Johnson as well as a visit
from the winners of the 2018 Siouxland Artists 
Annual Competition, travelling here from the Sioux
City Art Center.
Expect to be inspired.  Patricia Johnson, an artist
and teacher orginally from South Dakota, raised
a family on the farm storing up the vivid beauty of
nature.  Patricia has received many local, state,
and national awards for her paintings.  

An artists reception will be held on November 3rd
from 1pm to 3pm.

employment opportunity as a Registered Apprentice in
the Skilled Trades such as electrical, plumbing, and 
HVAC.  Skills assessment and development will be 
addressed through appointments at the Spencer 
IowaWorks Center located at 217 West 5th Street.
After completing the skills assessment at the center.
you could be presented to an area business in the 
aforementioned trades for consideration of direct 
employment or Registered Apprenticeship opportunities.

A Free meal will be provided courtesy of Lakes Area
Employers Council.  Information on free courses at the
center and Registered Apprenticeship materials will be
handed out and discussed on site that day.

Welcome to Almost, Maine, a place that is so far north, it's
almost not in the United States.  It's almost in Canada.   And
it's not quite a town, because its residents never got around to
getting organized.  So it almost doesn't exist.  One cold, clear,
winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky
above, the residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling
in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are
bruised.  Hearts are broken.  But the bruised heal and the 
hearts mend --almost-- in this delightful midwinter night's dream.

to present:  The Dixie Swim Club by Jessie Jones,
Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten.


Five Southern women, whose friendships began many years
ago on their college swim team, set aside a long weekend 
every August  to recharge those relationships.  Free from
husbands, kids, and jobs, they meet at the same beach 
cottage on North Carolina's Outer Banks to catch up, laugh,
and meddle in each others lives.  The Dixie Swim Club
is the story of these five unforgettable women--a hilarious
and touching comedy about friendships that last forever.
