Final Chamber Chill Friday Night

Help us celebrate Fall, the Harvest, and all that we are thankful for at the Final Chamber Chill of the Season.
Join us Friday night for Oktoberfest, sponsored by State Bank, from 5 - 8pm on the Riverfront Patio at the Bear.
Hosted by Spencer U.S.A., the Young Professionals of the Spencer Chamber of Commerce, there will be food, fun, music and good friends.  This event is FREE to attend and the entire community is invited.

Community Needs Assessment

The Spencer Chamber, is partnering with the Spencer YMCA to conduct a "Community Needs Assessment" and we ask for your input.In order to design services that are community focused, the Y would like to hear from the residents and businesses in the Spencer community.  Based on the results of the assessment, the YMCA will design and deliver new programs and services specific to the critical issues in the areas of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Spencer Chamber of Commerce Celebrating 125 Years

It was 1890 that the Spencer Chamber of Commerce came into existence.  In those early years an organization under the title of Spencer Improvement Club was formed with Mr. J.O. Birdsall becoming the first President years later in 1905 and 1906.
Then in 1907 the Spencer Commercial Club was organized with H.J. Buck as its President.  In 1918 the Spencer Commercial Club was located on the 3rd floor of the Grand Opera House Building.  Officers were: President Otto A. Bjornstad; Vice President J.O. Birdsall; Secretary E.S. Perry; and Treasurer P.R. Graham.
