Clay County Community Calendar LaunchedMembers of many organizations and non-profits have developed and launched the extensive Clay County Community Calendar. Over the years there have been many efforts to provide a website that would showcase the many events and activities Spencer and Clay County have to offer. After much discussion and planning the Clay County Convention and Visitors Bureau has announced the launch of the new site that should answer the age old question "There's nothing to do in Spencer." Each event submitted is reviewed before actually appearing on the calendar site to assure its authenticity.

Sheriffa Jones Accepts Spencer Chamber Director PositionThe Spencer Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has chosen its next Executive Director for the organization after current director Bill Campbell announced he would retire from the position at the end of this year.
Sheriffa Jones was named the new Exeuctive Director at the Chamber Annual Celebration held on October 3rd at the Clay County Regional Events Center.
Sheriffa currently serves as Director of Stewardship and Development at Spencer Sacred Heart Parish and will join the Chamber following her comittment with the Church Fall Gala in November.

SMU Named 2019 Chamber Business of the YearAt the Annual Celebration of the Spencer Chamber of Commerce held on October 3rd, Spencer Municipal Utilities was announced as the winner of the 2019 Chamber Business of the Year.

Spencer Chamber to host Iowa Chamber ExecutivesChamber of Commerce Executives from all over Iowa will converge on Spencer this October for the 2019 Iowa Chamber of Commerce (ICCE) Executives 3-day conference. This educational and networking gathering will take place at the Clay County Regional Events Center October 9, 10 & 11 and hosted by the Spencer Chamber of Commerce.
