Discover Spencer

Discover Spencer is a program of the Spencer Chamber providing prospective and new residents with resources to provide a smooth transition into our community. We firmly believe that a successful moving experience will create a positive living experience for those transitioning into our community. This program uses a high-touch approach to assist a prospective or new employee to their family as they relocate to Spencer. The program’s overall goal is to assist employers in recruiting and retaining high-value employees and to help the employee and their family forge a lasting connection with the community.


Each referral includes:

A personalized, guided tour of Spencer
Assistance in locating quality housing
On-going resource for future questions as the employee settles into Spencer
Inclusion on email events list
New resident event network
Support with employment for accompanying spouse
Introduction to service clubs, churches, and volunteer opportunities
Welcome packet
Connections with local schools
Assistance in locating childcare
